Mumbai-based conceptual photographer Victoria Krudysheva and designer Paarul Bhargava teamed up to create a photo series called "Lost Indian Goddesses".

The series features enchanting photos of five Hindu goddesses showcasing their most celebrated traits, while the captions point out how women in present-day India are vilified for displaying the same traits.

Priya’s Mirror aims to raise awareness about acid attacks and encourage and strengthen survivors.

Devineni and Goldman are all set to release the next edition of their series, this time focusing on acid attack survivors. It's a comic book called Priya's Mirror.

The comic book will be launched at the New York Film Festival at Lincoln Center on September 30, 2016, and then at the Mumbai Comic Con on October 22.

The book was created to spread awareness about acid attack survivors, to highlight that their positive recoveries, and to provide confidence to other women. It is the first comic book created by acid attack survivors, and to feature them in the artwork.

Social commentary comedy collective Aisi Taisi Democracy performed at the Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad yesterday.

The trio were in the middle of a section of their show dealing with sex education when, one by one, all their mics were turned off. They tried carrying on with the show but their manager got on stage and said, “The show is over. They want us to leave.”

A professor, who took offence at sex being discussed around female students, had climbed into the sound console and had their mics turned off.

ATD member and musician Rahul Ram then announced, without a mic, “Your professors don’t want us to continue. You guys were fantastic but unfortunately this ends here,” and the three left stage.

“The Glassworker” aka “Sheeshagar” is a coming-of-age story about the effects of war on two children’s friendship.

Mano Animation Studios, headed by musician and artist Usman Riaz, has just released the trailer for Pakistan's first-ever hand-drawn animated film, The Glassworker.

"The film will comment on the effects of war on children and follow both characters through their formative years as life gets more complicated and inhibits their friendship," they said.

It recently reached its Kickstarter goal and is expected to release sometime next year.
